GE-P Universal Epoxy Patching Paste – 1 Gallon Kit for Concrete & Masonry Repair
GE-P Universal Epoxy Patching Paste – 1 Gallon Kit
GE-P is a professional-grade, two-component epoxy patching paste engineered for a wide range of substrate repair and surface preparation needs. This gray, non-shrinking paste is designed for use in both fine crack repair and deep patching applications (up to 2 inches thick), making it a versatile solution for prepping concrete and masonry prior to high-performance coating systems.
Ideal for use under epoxy flooring systems such as metallic epoxy, pigmented epoxy, flake broadcast systems, and pigmented sealers, GE-P delivers strong adhesion, smooth finishability, and reliable curing without slumping, shrinking, or overheating.
One Patch for All Prep
GE-P is suitable for:
- Spackling hairline cracks and small divots before epoxy coating;
- Repairing larger concrete voids and damage up to 2" thick;
- Surface preparation for:

How to Use GE-P
Crack Filling & Shallow Repairs (≤ 1/8") – Epoxy System Prep:
(When quickly patching small cracks, pits, or surface defects prior to coating).
- Surface Prep: Clean and dry the area; grind surface to remove contaminants and ensure proper bond.
- Mixing: Blend equal parts A and B until uniform in color.
- Application: Spackle directly with a trowel or putty knife.
- Topcoat Timing: Proceed with epoxy or sealer application immediately — no need to wait for the patch to cure.
Larger Concrete Repairs (Up to 2") – Structural Patching:
(When patching/rebuilding large concrete or masonry sections, voids, and holes).
- Surface Prep: Ensure surface is sound and clean. Grind and vacuum if needed.
- Mixing: 1:1 by volume, mix thoroughly.
- Application: Apply and pack material with a trowel; smooth as needed.
- Topcoat Timing: Allow full cure (24 hours @ 70°F) before applying a topcoat. Premature coating may lead to roller pull-up.
If applying in multiple lifts, allow each layer to fully cure and sand before reapplication.
For fast-turnaround repairs, consider GCF Urethane Crack Filler.
Cleanup & Storage
- Clean tools with xylol before the epoxy cures.
- Store sealed containers at 60–90°F in a dry location. Protect from freezing.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Can GE-P be used on vertical surfaces?
A: Yes. GE-P is a thick, non-sag paste and is perfectly suited for vertical crack or patch repair.
Q: How long does it take to fully cure?
A: GE-P fully cures in approximately 24 hours at 70°F. Cooler temperatures may extend cure time.
Q: Do I need to prime before applying GE-P?
A: No primer is required. We recommend grinding the surface to ensure maximum mechanical adhesion.
Q: Can I apply multiple layers of GE-P?
A: Yes. For deep repairs or staged filling, wait for full cure and sand the surface before applying the next layer to ensure proper mechanical bonding.
