How to Use Stair Liner Molds for Stone-Look Concrete Steps
Learn how to create stone-look concrete steps using stair liner molds from GlobMarble in this step-by-step tutorial.
We’ll walk you through the full process: building forms, installing liners, pouring concrete, and stamping the horizontal surfaces. The vertical risers are cast using our SL 1003 Chiseled Stone Stair Liner, creating a high-detail stone texture that looks like real stone.
We also demonstrate how to remove the form liner the same day, clean off excess powder release, and prepare the staircase for coloring (which we’ll cover in Part 2).
All products, tools, and materials used in this video are linked in the video description below.
Don’t miss Part 2, where we color the vertical faces using a powder release + alcohol trick to perfectly match the stamped surface.
Products used: SL 1003 Chiseled Stone Stair Liner, SKM 3000 Slate Skin Stamp, GSR Liquid Stamp Release, GlobMarble Powder Release (Color: Charcoal), GA-20 Acrylic Sealer.
